During the monsoons, as so soon it started raining, everybody in the home would start asking for something, spicy, fried, chatpata with a garam garam chai, that is hot tea.

Black Grapes are juicier and healthier than green ones.
Grape juice is highly nutritious and beneficial for our health. It contains a large number of antioxidants which help in fighting various health disorders.
The high iron content of Black grape juice provides instant energy to a person who feels tired and lethargic every time. It is a good source of iron and vitamin C too.
Grape juice provides relief in nosebleeds, blood vomiting, excessive thirst etc.
And if it in the form of chilled Slush, then it would be more relished too !

Watermelons are good for everyone in summers. This is the fruit which contains more than 75% of water and it is really low in calories i.e., approx 1 cup is equal to 25 calories only. The fruit also contains good amount of protein and iron.
The only care one has to take is that should not drink water for at least an hour after having watermelons.

Thanks to the education system that kids are more well versed with english terms rather than hindi ones...
I made veggie and my son asked me what have you made with such a nice aroma? I said Bhindi. He asked me whats Bhindi??
I replied, its Lady finger... Out of curiosity he showered me with questions: why is it called lady finger?, Is it because it is like fingers...but why only lady's? mine are also like yours!! and on and on....
But the main thing was that while talking and talking, he finished his parantha with bhindi masala...!!

Idlis are light and delicious. And to make them more tasty and nutritious we can add various ingredients to them.
We all can cook and make our food interesting.
Let me share a secret with you! I was not fond of cooking, nor eating. But as soon as I became a mom, an instinct was born within me. It was that I should cook and I should provide all that he loves to eat outside, at home.
Reason?? :) the Gr8 Indian Moms mentality... the food should be hygenic and nutritious!!
This made me alter the Idli to Mix Veg Idli.... May you all enjoy this with your kids!

Russian Salad with macronis

I think it is named as Russian salad because Russians have it almost everyday.
You can add and less the ingredients as per your taste as there is no hard and fast rule for preparing this salad.
The outcome should be TASTE... Yummy !! Should be very tasty!
One thing to be kept in mind is that the tomatoes should be De-seeded as when put the simply diced tomatoes in it, without de-seeding it leaves water, making my salad looking ruined and somewhat ugly!
