It is hard to resist home made pinni.It is a healthy punjabi winter dish with a lasting shelflife.

Ingredients:

Whole wheat flour  1kg
Sugar  800gms
Desi ghee   800gms
Cumin seed  1tsp
Almonds, cashewnuts, pista, kishmish,  400gms



Method:

Heat ghee in a karahi. Add flour.  Roast the flour on medium low flam till it is lightly brown ,atleast about 40-45 minuits.
At this point of time, ghee leaves the pan and  it smells great,a sweat aroma spreads.Add cumin seeds and put off the flame.
Add sugar you may add powder sugar if you like.Add the nuts and raisins.Let the mixture cool for some time.Now make
small balls of the mixture by pressing it with your fingers and palm. Keep these pinnis in an airtight container.
