Ingredients:
Mint Leaves(washed and chopped ) 250gms
Sugar 1kg
Water 1/2lts
Citric acid 2tsp
Roasted cumin powder 1tbsp
Black salt 2tbsp
Tamarind pulp 75gms
Green colour 2 -3 drops
Sodium Benzoate 2/3tsp
Method:
Put the leaves in a blender along with little water and blend to a smooth paste.
Put sugar and water in a pan and boil to make sugar syrup.Add citric acid to the syrup.
Remove and strain the syrup. Add mint paste and tamarind pulp to the syrup.Strain once again.
Mix sodium benzoate in little water and add to the syrup.Stir well.
Add black salt, pepper and roasted cumin powder to the syrup.
When cool fill in the sterlized bottles.
While serving put 1part syrup 3or4 part water in a glass and lot of ice.
Serve chilled garnished with mint leaves.
