Paneer Manchurian

Children are very fond of chinese cuisine. Whenever I organise a get together party for my son and his friends, his first preference of the menu would be chinese and he will say "Mom, please make manchurian too..". And I love when he gives his choice of menu... :)



Ingredients: 
Cornflour, 2 tbsp
Flour, 3 tbsp
Spring onions, 2-3 chopped
Soya sauce 2 tbsp  
Green chillies, 2 finely chopped
ginger paste 1 tsp  
Garlic, 2 tbsp finely chopped 
Cottage cheese 250 gms
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Egg white of one egg (optional)
Coriander leaves, for garnishing, finely chopped

Method
Cut the paneer into 1" square pieces and marinate them with salt and ginger paste Keep aside.
In a bowl, mix cornflour, flour, egg white and salt and make a batter using little water. 
Dip the paneer pieces in this batter and deep fry in hot oil till golden brown.
In another pan heat oil and fry the chopped garlic cloves and spring onions.
Now add Soya sauce, green chillies, salt, one and a half cups of water and let it simmer.
Now add fried paneer pieces
Take two teaspoons of cornflour and half a cup of water and mix well.
Add this to the boiling mixture and cook well until the sauce thickens. Keep stirring. 
Add coriander leaves and serve hot.
