Ingredients :

Carrots, 500 grm, grated
Milk, 500 ml
Clarified butter ( ghee ), 2 tbsp
Sugar, 200 gms
Assorted Dryfruits (except raisins), 1/2 cup, chopped
Cardamom powder , 1/2 tsp

For  garnishing
Mawa (optional ) 1/4 th cup
Raisins , 50 gms 

Method :

In a heavy bottomed pan, boil the milk.
Add the grated carrots and let it cook on medium heat for 3-4 hours.
When
the milk is reduced to less than half reduce the heat to low.
Gradually add in the sugar and let it cook over the low flame.

Cook till the halwa is mixed together and the milk has dried.
Now add butter/ghee to the halwa and cook it stirring in between till it starts leaving the sides.
Add in the Dry fruits and cardamom powder.

Garnish with mawa and raisins and serve hot.
